I am a Vacant Lot :: MicroblogMondays

Sometimes I feel like a vacant lot.

All tattered with graffiti and overgrown with waist-high weeds…

Like I used to be a going concern, you know, but now, no…

Maybe I’m partially paved. Yeah. I can see me having a cracked asphalt crust.

What if a vacant lot were to get tired of it, stand up, and walk away?

What would be left? Just a hole in the ground or what?

I’m fixin’ to walk away.

  1. Ah, so this is the vacant lot post! I like it–especially the idea of it/you walking away from what I interpret as the life of a has-been. Maybe I’m wrong in that interpretation? Please let me know. In any case, I myself have gone through I fairly intense period of feeling like a has-been, much of that due to the big halt in my life that was occasioned by a sever episode of mental illness (yes, I signed the petition!). I’m happy to say that I have gotten up and walked away from that feeling! 🙂 Thanks for checking out my blog. I look forward to reading more of yours!
