This week’s prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “ho.”
We are challenged to find a word with the two letters–“ho”–in that order, and use it in a post. The post is to be stream of consciousness writing, meaning no editing, (typos can be fixed) and minimal planning. Linda tells us that the post can be “as long or as short as you want it to be. One sentence – one thousand words. Fact, fiction, poetry – it doesn’t matter. Just let the words carry you along until you’re ready to stop.”
Ho, eh? Ahem.
Okay, I choose… “choose”!
Yeah, I see what I can do with this word. Boy is it going to look misspelled by the time I’m done with it here. Haha. Let me apologize up front for telling you what to do. Do feel free to choose not to do any or all of what I am about to tell you to choose.
Choose to eat quiche, no matter what Bruce Feirstein says.
Choose to treat women as equals, even if you are one, and to honor their empowerment, even when it feels somewhat silly.
Choose to be your own friend.
Choose the egg; it DID come before the chicken, because it came out of something that was not quite a chicken.
Choose to be agnostic about why the chicken crossed the road, because that one will break you.
Choose your battles.
Choose love and harmony.
Choose tough love when necessary, but try never to be a bully.
Choose to recognize evolution and global warming as really very well-substantiated theories.
Choose to support the careful use of your tax dollars and those of others in order to assure food, clothing, shelter, and maybe even education and (gasp) health care for the needy.
Choose, when you cannot find a perfect match, a second sock that is approximately the same thickness as the first.
Choose humor over anger.
Choose to love peace rather than hating war.
Choose to lose, then turn loose of what you chose.
Haha wow that last one was too good. I’ve got to stop. So that’s my stream of consciousness for “ho.” Thanks for the challenge, Linda!
